Summerhouse Bookshelves

A bespoke set of free-standing shelves, in Douglas fir to match their building context.

Our clients commissioned us to design and make a new set of bookshelves, to be placed in a low corner of their garden summerhouse (designed by us back in 2006).  The summerhouse was constructed with a Douglas fir timber frame, and the timber of the shelves was to match this species.  We finished the wood with natural oils and waxes, giving it a pleasant matt finish.
