Ash Dining Table

A bespoke extendable dining table, designed and made by Manifest.

A new dining table was requested, to be made to exacting dimensions to fit the existing space, and the clients’ chairs.  We made the table in American white ash (Fraxinus americana), which gains a smooth, white finish and works well.  The table’s extendable design allows leaves at each end to be brought out to accommodate a larger dinner party.  Haunched beams allow for stiff connections to the legs while maintaining the space under the table entirely free of bracing for comfort.  Pegged details were carried out in a beautiful contrasting black walnut (Juglans nigra).
