Oxford Bookshelves

Bespoke fitted shelves for a small study in central Oxford.

Manifest were commissioned to design and make a fitted bookshelf which would neatly sit under a sloping ceiling in this small study in a central Oxford terrace.  The owner is an art-lover with many large-format books on painting and design to accommodate.  Our bookshelf was formed of several rebated boards joined together, with uprights scribed against the uneven wall and floor surfaces.  A raw finish was chosen, keeping the emphasis entirely on the books themselves.
